What is the country’s famous ‘Agneepath Yojana’?
Let us remind you that the Central Government had made a big announcement of ‘Agneepath Yojana’ in the year 2022. Under this scheme, bumper recruitment of fire fighters is done in all three major services of the country’s armed forces – i.e. Army, Navy (Navy) and Air Force. This is a job that lasts for a total of 4 years, which also includes 6 months of rigorous training.
After completing their illustrious tenure of 4 years, approximately 25 percent of the Agniveers of each batch are made fully permanent in the Indian Army on the basis of their merit and performance (eligibility). The remaining 75 percent youth are given retirement. Since the first batch of Agniveers is completing their 4-year tenure this year, this new masterplan of the government lays a very strong foundation for their golden and secure future.
