First special screening and first review
Recently a special screening of the film was organized, in which the Deol family was also present. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra shared his reaction on X (Twitter). He wrote, “Just watched Ikkis 1, a film made completely from the heart. A gentle, honest story that stays with you even after the film is over. Dharmendra sir… what grace, what depth. If this is your last film, then truly heartbroken. You have given us something very emotional and necessary. Hats off to Jaideep Ahlawat. Welcome to Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, both of them looked great on screen. Agastya’s The innocence and honesty really shines. Special mention to Sriram Raghavan. Story of the film and character of Agastya Nanda
‘Ikkis’ is based on the real story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. Arun Khetrapal was one of the youngest officers in India to receive the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 21. Agastya Nanda is in the lead role in the film, while Dharmendra is playing his father’s character.

Mukesh Chhabra especially praised the performances of Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Vivaan Shah and Sikandar Kher. Along with this, he also praised the direction of Sriram Raghavan, who was described as a master.
