The full story of Galgotias University’s blunders, how it got kicked out of AI Summit?
Greater Noida’s Galgotias University was on Wednesday asked to vacate its stall at the AI Summit Expo, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. As soon as this order was given, the lights of the pavilion were also cut off. Actually, this controversy arose because of a lie of Galgotias, which embarrassed India at the international level. The AI Summit for which India worked so hard, a large number of youth gathered to showcase their talent, but a lie by Galgotias University diverted the summit somewhere else.
In fact, in this summit, Galgotias University caused great harm to India’s image by claiming China’s robotic dog as its own. There are many such videos available on social media, which show that a professor associated with the university is telling this robotic dog that it has been created by Galgotias University itself. Whereas the truth is that the robotic dog was not purchased by Galgotias but from a Chinese robotics company, Unitree Robotics.

How did the dispute happen?
The robotic dog shown at the university’s stall has been identified as Unity Go2. This robotic dog is available in India for around Rs 2-3 lakh. However, Galgotias University presented the robot dog in the summit as a product developed by the university. The move raised questions over falsely showcasing foreign technology in an AI event meant to highlight domestic innovation.
Controversy over thermocol drone after robotic dog
After the uproar over the robotic dog at the AI Impact Summit, there was also a controversy over the thermocol drone of Galgotias University. In a video going viral on social media, it is clearly visible that a thermocol drone has been kept at the stall of the university. People are asking whether this is a real innovation or a model kept just for show. Many people on social media said that anyone can make it with a basic DIY kit.
However, no clear statement has yet come out from Galgotias University on thermocol drones. Earlier the university had given clarification on the robot dog controversy. He had said that the machine was kept as a learning tool for the students, but no claim was made as having been made by him. Late on Wednesday evening the university apologized for this entire controversy.

It is being told that this soccer drone is made in South Korea, but the university professor has claimed that the university has completely developed it itself. A video of Professor Neha Singh of the University’s Communication Department has gone viral, in which she is explaining to the media about in-house soccer drones. He says that the end to end engineering of the drone has been done in the university campus itself.

If someone wants to study B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from here for four years, then his annual study cost will be around Rs 2 lakh and the cost of four years of study will be around Rs 8 lakh. Even after charging such huge fees from the children, Galgotias University itself could not develop even a single robot.
