Pakistan’s opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan has roared again in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Farhan has scored a half-century in 32 balls in the ‘do or die’ match against Sri Lanka. This is his fourth fifty plus score in this tournament. He has crossed the 50 mark for the third consecutive innings. During this innings, Farhan has broken the 12 year old record of Virat Kohli.

Kohli had scored 319 runs in the 2014 T20 World Cup, which was the record for the most runs in a single edition. Farhan has broken this record. Farhan needed 37 runs to overtake Kohli. He overtook Kohli by hitting a four on the first ball of the sixth over. After this, Farhan completed his half-century by taking a double on the second ball of the 9th over.

After being invited to bat first, the opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman have given an excellent start to Pakistan. Till the time of writing the news, both have made a partnership of 80 runs in 8.1 overs. Pak team seems to be crossing 200 easily.
