UP Congress President Ajay Rai said that the heritage and mythological things of Kashi are being demolished. This is not being done by any outsider but by people sitting in the government. Targeting PM Modi, he said that he has come as the son of Ganga ji and is destroying all the heritage of Banaras. Manikarnika Ghat which is our pilgrimage site and is thousands of years old.

It was renovated by Mata Ahilyabai Holkar in 1791. The BJP government celebrates the birth anniversary of Mata Ahilyabai Holkar and issues a silver coin in her name. But in Kashi, their own renovated heritage is being bulldozed with bulldozers and when we all raise this issue, the Chief Minister comes to Baba Vishwanath’s land and lies and says that Congress people are spreading confusion by making AI videos. Along with this, there is talk of taking strict action.

The UP Congress President further said that the family members of Mata Ahilyabai Holkar also made allegations. He said, Yashwant Rao Holkar of the family, who is the chairman of the trust, had also written a letter about the demolition of his statue at Manikarnika Ghat and had also released the picture. He alleged that this government neither belongs to Ram nor to Shiva nor to Mata Ahilyabai. These are business people.

Ajay Rai wrote on social media It should also be made clear where the idol went and where it is currently kept. The government’s own officials and ministers are admitting that the statue was vandalized, while on the other hand an attempt is being made to hide the truth by calling it an AI video. This contradiction raises questions on the intentions of the government itself.

He further wrote, yesterday the Chief Minister had come to Varanasi and he was scheduled to visit Manikarnika Ghat, but it was suddenly cancelled. The question is why was this tour cancelled? Is it because the truth does not come out? Simply holding a press conference without visiting the site and seeing the actual situation and filing cases against those who are speaking the truth is a direct attack on democracy and freedom of expression. Congress makes it clear that any kind of playing with the faith, culture and heritage of Kashi will not be accepted. The voice of truth cannot be suppressed.
