It’s time for an upgrade.

You really couldn’t pry my Hoka shoes from me if you tried, but even I have come to terms with the fact that my current favorite pair needs to be retired. The Bondi 9 might be podiatrists’ most-loved Hoka shoe. It’s been recommended to us as an excellent shoe for conditions like back pain, joint pain, plantar fasciitis, high arches and bunions—the list can and does go on. Why? They have an excellent balance between cushion and structural support in the sole and shell of the shoe, plus a wider toe box and an ideal rocker-shaped base.

After wearing it for over a year, I still declare the Hoka Skyflow one of my all-time favorite shoes, so I’m considering adding another pair to my shopping cart while it’s on sale. I love how zippy the shoe feels on my feet, and there’s plenty of cushion and structure, especially on the heel, to keep my body pain-free after long walks.
