Hyundai It is working on the next generation model of its best selling SUV Creta in India. The third generation Creta, which will be launched in 2027, is likely to see hybrid technology for the first time. This will be a big change for Hyundai, as until now the Creta was only available in petrol, diesel and electric options. The hybrid version will be especially for those customers who want good mileage, but don’t want to buy a fully electric car.
What will the Creta Hybrid engine look like?
The next generation Creta is likely to be powered by a 1.5 liter petrol engine. The engine will be paired with a powerful hybrid system, which will also include an electric motor. This system may be similar to the Kia Seltos Hybrid, as Hyundai and Kia are part of the same group. Along with the hybrid, the new Creta could also be offered with 1.5-litre natural petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.

As per estimates, this SUV can deliver a mileage of 20 to 22 kmpl. It can get about 10 percent more mileage in the city and about 5 percent more on the highway compared to the petrol model.
