The amount of hard work and money that was put into making this song was shocking for that time. The director of the film, Karan Johar wanted to make this song very grand and this was the reason that everything from set design to costumes and dance was planned on a large scale. During the shooting, about two hundred dancers and three hundred junior artists were involved. Apart from this, special chandeliers were also prepared to make the set more spectacular.

But amid such a huge set and heavy preparations, the situation worsened when Karan Johar himself became unconscious during the shooting. This was revealed by filmmaker Nikhil Advani. He told that there was an atmosphere of chaos on the set and everyone was working hard for the perfect shot. Meanwhile, Kajol was having trouble dancing in her heavy lehenga, which made the shoot even more challenging.

The budget of this song increased so much that it even left behind the fixed budget of the entire film. Initially the budget of the film was fixed at around three crores but as soon as the set of Bole Chudiyan was ready, this figure was crossed. It is said that when Yash Johar saw this, he called everyone and tore the budget sheet in front of everyone. This incident is still counted among the interesting stories of Bollywood.

This film, released in the year 2001, became one of the biggest hit films of that time. It featured big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film made great money worldwide and crossed the figure of Rs 199 crore.

Although there were some emotional aspects behind the success of the film, this time was very difficult for Kajol in her personal life because during this time she had to face a miscarriage. She later told that despite the success of the film, she was very broken from inside.

Another interesting fact related to the film is that Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan played the childhood character of Rahul, while comedian Johnny Lever and his son Jesse Lever were also seen together for the first time.
