This step is being considered an important initiative towards respecting the elderly and simplifying their lives.

Decision taken considering the problems of the elderly

Many such cases had come to the notice of the government, where due to old age and health related problems, the elderly faced a lot of difficulty in reaching the registry office. This special unit will go directly to the homes of the elderly and complete the entire process related to the registry of land or plot. With this, the elderly will neither have to travel nor wander in offices.

Time bound and transparent process

The government has also directed the departments concerned to dispose of registry cases of senior citizens above 80 years of age within a maximum of seven working days. This will prevent unnecessary delays and speed up the process. Along with this, emphasis has been laid on giving every information related to the registry clearly to the elders, so that there is no confusion or misunderstanding.

monitoring to prevent exploitation

It has often been seen that due to lack of information, there is a possibility of irregularities or exploitation of the elderly during registration. To stop this, the government has decided to strengthen the monitoring system. The entire process will be made more transparent and accountable, so that the elderly can complete their work without any worries.

The system will be implemented from April 1, 2026

The Chief Minister clarified that this new system will be implemented in entire Bihar from April 1, 2026.
