Now the makers are preparing to make a comeback once again with the second part. Recently the trailer of The Kerala Story 2 was launched. Since then the film has been giving different types of reactions. Despite continuous controversies regarding the film, it has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). This is considered a big victory for the makers. Because, it was shown in the trailer that the subject is quite sensitive. Now Vipul Amrutlal Shah has reacted to the film getting U/A certificate.

Kerala Story 2 gets U/A certificate

The story of Kerala Story 2 is about trapping of girls in the racket of forced religious conversion. According to the makers, this film is based on a true story. While talking to Hindustan Times, the producer has expressed happiness on getting U/A certificate from CBFC. He said that he is grateful to the Censor Board for this decision. She feels that this film will help young girls and families across the country. He said, ‘I am really grateful to the Censor Board for giving UA certificate to our film. It shows their confidence in the intention and honesty with which we have created this story. This decision is important because with this we will be able to reach out to the young girls and families of the country. Our aim has always been to create awareness among the people and empower the young minds to stay alert and take informed decisions. I thank the Board (CBFC) for its correct and thoughtful thinking in conveying this message to the next generation.

Controversy regarding ‘The Kerala Story 2’

Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha are in lead roles in ‘The Kerala Story 2’. The trailer shows how the lives of those girls take a turn after falling in love with Muslim boys. After the release of ‘The Kerala Story 2’ trailer, there is opposition against the film. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has even criticized the film for ‘spreading false propaganda’. In an official statement, Vijayan said that ‘the news of the release of the sequel of the hate film ‘The Kerala Story’ should be viewed very seriously. Kerala, which has already seen the communal agenda and blatant lies of the first party, will once again reject with hatred this attempt to defame our secular fabric. It is shocking how fabricated stories designed to incite communal strife are given a free hand, while critical expressions of art are banned. We must unite against these attempts to turn our land of harmony into a den of terror. Truth will always prevail. Kerala Story 2 will be released in theaters on 27th February.
