The accused Naresh Bhengra, a resident of Jojodag village of Jariagarh police station area, was arrested by the police on Monday and sent to jail on Tuesday. Police said that Gangi was living in a live-in relationship with Naresh. She was originally a resident of Malgo Tangratoli village of Lapung police station area of ​​Ranchi district. Naresh's maternal home was also in the same village. While visiting her maternal home, Gangi and Naresh fell in love. After living together for one and a half years, Gangi went to Tamil Nadu to work and Naresh started working in Bengaluru. During the same time, Naresh had a relationship with another girl. He married her. Both of them also had a son.

When Gangi came to know about the matter, she came to Bengaluru. Naresh and Gangi came to Hatia station by train from there. On the evening of 8th November, the king left for Jojodag with Gangi. But instead of going to the village, Bhagwan Panj took Gangi to Tongri, where both of them started fighting among themselves. After this, Naresh killed Gangi by strangulating him with a scarf. He cut the body into several pieces, buried it there and went home. The team that exposed the case included SDPO Christopher Kerketta, Inspector Ashok Singh etc.

Naresh used to work as a chicken slaughterer at Bhengra Chicken Shop in Bengaluru. SDPO said that on November 24, some villagers saw a human skeleton in Tongri and informed it to Jariagarh police station. The police recovered the photo of the girl, the bloodstained anklet used in the murder, hair mask and other items from the spot.
