It was further written in the statement that both the teaser and trailer of The Kerala Story-2 Goes Beyond will be available on all our official platforms. We appeal to media houses, digital platforms and people to avoid spreading reports containing unverified information and speculations. Such misinformation only creates unnecessary confusion. Earlier on Tuesday, the Kerala High Court had ordered the makers of The Kerala Story 2 to arrange a screening of the Hindi film for the court in Kochi before its release on Friday. The film The Kerala Story-2 is the sequel to the National Award winning film The Kerala Story, which was released in 2023. It is based on the lives of three young girls who, according to the film, fall into fraudulent marriages and allegedly face forced religious conversion. The sequel has been receiving strong reactions since the trailer launch. Opposition leaders, celebrities and many social media users have criticized it, calling it propaganda, while the makers of the film say that it has been made after researching real-life incidents. Director Kamakhya Narayan Singh said that if he had shown anything wrong or misleading in the film, he would have quit making the film.
