The Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer Shows New Footage of Pedro Pascal Star Wars Movie

Lucasfilm has shared the official trailer and poster for The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, which serves as the next chapter to the popular Disney+ show. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 22, 2026, nearly three years after the fans last saw the titular duo in The Mandalorian Season 3.

“The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu,” reads the official synopsis.

The video highlights the fan-favorite duo’s next action-packed adventure, which will bring them to new and familiar parts of the galaxy. Their important mission requires them to face all sorts of space gangsters, war criminals, and bad guys in hopes of preventing another war. The trailer offers a glimpse at some of the movie’s fighting sequences, including Pedro Pascal‘s Din Djarin fighting Jabba’s son Rotta the Hutt and a giant snake-like creature. It also teases Grogu’s growth, as Din continues to prepare him for the future ahead.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is directed by Jon Favreau, who also serves as the Star Wars show’s creator and executive producer. The movie will also be led by Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt and Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward. It is produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.
