Pune: The investigation into the murder of Pune’s famous real estate businessman Ketan Aggarwal is progressing steadily. Siya Goyal and her lover Chetan Chaudhary, arrested in this case, have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the court. Meanwhile, an alleged Snapchat screenshot related to Sia Goyal has gone viral on social media, which has given rise to new discussions regarding the matter. However, the viral chat has not been officially confirmed yet.

According to media reports, in the viral screenshot, Sia is allegedly seen asking one of her acquaintances to send the front and back photographs of the Aadhaar card. Along with this, booking tickets for the wedding has also been mentioned in the conversation. However, the police have not yet issued any official statement regarding this chat.

According to the police, 25-year-old Ketan Aggarwal is accused of being murdered by pushing him off a cliff near Lohagarh Fort in Pune district on June 18. Investigation has revealed that the marriage of Ketan and Siya was to take place in November this year.

During the hearing, the police had demanded extension of the custody of both the accused. Investigating agencies said that some coded chats were found from the seized mobile phones, in which nicknames and emojis were used. The police argued that further interrogation of both the accused is necessary to understand the true meaning of these messages and to confirm the digital evidence. However, the court did not accept the police demand and sent both of them to judicial custody till July 16.

The prosecution told the court that during the investigation, Panchnama was also conducted at the place where Sia had allegedly thrown away Ketan’s passport. Along with this, the place where the murder conspiracy was allegedly hatched was also investigated. Police also informed that another mobile phone of Sia has been recovered, which has been sent for forensic examination. The forensic report of the mobile phone that was seized earlier has also been received by the investigating agencies.

Further investigation continues regarding the matter

At the same time, the defense lawyers argued in the court that the police have already seized the necessary electronic devices and the accused are cooperating in the investigation. On the other hand, Pune Rural Police says that some new witnesses have come forward in the case and the investigation is being taken forward on the basis of digital and forensic evidence. Officials claim that they have enough evidence related to the murder and the investigation is continuing in an impartial manner.
