The one who changed the fate of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, himself told a painful story

Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is called the ‘Method Actor’ of Bollywood, has traveled from floor to sky on the basis of his acting. Today, even though the world may be a fan of his acting, behind his success lies a bitter memory which shook him to the core. Recently, during an interview, Nawazuddin mentioned that ‘filmy’ turn of his personal life, when he saw his father being insulted in front of his eyes. This was the moment when he decided that he would not be like his father at all.

Meeting with Bachchan Saheb and false stories of Parliament

Nawazuddin told that his father often used to visit Delhi for work. When he returned home, he used to make tall claims in front of the children. Nawaz recalled, “Whenever Papa would come from Delhi and we would ask where he had gone, he would say that I have come after Parliament.” Not only this, his father also used to tell false stories of meeting Amitabh Bachchan. He used to say that he talked to Bachchan Saheb and also advised him to take care of his health and do exercise. For Nawaz, his father was no less than a superhero at that time.

Delhi tour exposed the claims

Nawazuddin believed in these stories of his father until he himself came to Delhi with him once. One day in Delhi, when he felt hungry, he stopped to eat at an ordinary hotel. There a minor altercation took place between the hotel owner and Nawaz’s father over money. But within no time the matter escalated to such an extent that the hotel owner started scolding Nawaz’s father badly in front of everyone.

When the son was heartbroken after seeing the hero’s ‘status’

Recalling that scene, Nawazuddin told that the hotel owner threatened his father and said, “Get out of here, otherwise I will torture you so much that you will not be able to find out.” Nawaz became disheartened to see his father, whom till now he considered very powerful and influential, being insulted in this way. He realized that his father had neither the power nor the status that he claimed at home. In the words of Nawaz, “That day I came to know that my father has no status and I decided then and there that I will not become like my father.”

Insult becomes the fuel of success

That insult from his father ignited a fire within Nawazuddin that inspired him to struggle and create his own identity. He decided that he would become so successful in his life that the world would respect him. The position at which Nawazuddin Siddiqui is today is the result of the resolution taken on that very day. This story teaches that sometimes life’s worst experiences lead you to your greatest success.
