The plane was about to take off, a ‘malfunction’ occurred at the last moment; Pune-Bengaluru Akasa Air flight cancelled!
Pune. An Akasa Air flight from Pune to Bengaluru was stopped at the airport at the last moment due to a technical glitch. After the fault was discovered, the passengers were deboarded from the plane. The flight was scheduled to take off at 8:50 am on Tuesday, and passengers were scheduled to board the plane at 8:10 am. However, as the plane was preparing for takeoff, a technical problem occurred, due to which the flight could not take off.
The aircraft of Akasa Air which had technical problem was Boeing 737 Max. Due to the malfunction, the passengers remained inside the plane for about one and a half hours, but when the problem was not resolved, they were finally deboarded from the plane. A passenger on board the plane said, “Akasa Air’s Bengaluru-bound flight QP1312, which was scheduled to take off from Pune on January 13, is currently parked at the Pune airport. The passengers had boarded the plane and the flight was preparing for takeoff when a technical glitch occurred at the last minute. After this, all the passengers were deboarded from the plane.” The passenger further informed that no new departure time has been announced for the flight.
Akasa Air issued a statement saying that flight number QIP 1312 has been delayed due to technical problem and will now depart at 1:15 pm. Akasa Airlines is preparing to start a new flight service from Varanasi to Jewar Airport, Pune and Ahmedabad in the last week of February. UP Sales Head of Akasa Airlines, Rahul Singh said that the number of passengers at Varanasi Airport is continuously increasing.
