Srigonda Assembly Constituency is also being contested by candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. Vikram Dada Pachpute, the son of incumbent MLA Babanrao Pachpute, the official candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Mahayuti, has also shown strong strength and is gearing up to continue Pachpute’s legacy.

In fact, the equation of this constituency is that Srigonda means Babanrao Pachpute and Babanrao Pachpute means Srigonda. This constituency is known throughout Maharashtra as the stronghold of the sitting MLA Babanrao Pachpute. Babandada has contested and won elections from here on various party symbols during his tenure so far.

Of course, in this constituency, the leader is more important than the party, and whoever the leader is, it is Babanrao Pachpute. This time, however, due to illness, instead of Babanrao Pachpute, his son-in-law Vikidada Pachpute is in the election fray. In fact, Wikidada’s Matoshree was earlier nominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

However, there was a strong demand from the five-child couple for their daughter to get candidature and accordingly, Wikidad was announced as the official candidate of Mahayuti at the very last stage. Therefore, since the candidature has changed in Srigondia, can this affect the BJP? Some such discussions had started in the interim.

But, the party will not be affected by the change of candidature, the activists have worked expressing their determination that we will elect the candidate that Babanrao Pachpute will give. Meanwhile, Vikram Pacchpute’s strength has increased even as the election campaign has reached its final stage. Because former Zilla Parishad member Babanrao Madane has decided to support Vikram Pachpute.

Babanrao Madane stated that all ordinary workers are always treated with respect by the family of MLA Babanrao Pachpute, but poor people are being beaten by Nagwade family, so Dhangar Samaj will stand firmly behind the family of MLA Babanrao Pachpute. Former Zilla Parishad member Babanrao Madane was speaking at the Dhangar community meeting.

He has also announced that he has supported Vikram Pachpute in this election. Political analysts are starting to express the opinion that the Dhangar community and former Zilla Parishad member Babanrao Madane will now have the support of Wikidada.
