Due to this, pain, itching and burning sensation is felt in the throat. Due to sore throat, one feels difficulty in swallowing anything. Honey-
Honey is very beneficial in sore throat. Honey with tea or alone is enough to overcome this problem. In a study, honey has been found to be more effective than medicines in treating cough that occurs at night. Honey heals wounds faster, hence it cures sore throat quickly.
Salt water-
Gargling with saline or salt water provides great relief from sore throat. It also works to kill the bacteria present in the throat. Mix half a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water, make it salty and gargle with it. This reduces swelling of the throat and keeps the throat clean. Gargle with this water every three hours.
Peppermint-

Most people gargle with salt water, but gargling with baking soda mixed with salt water also provides relief from sore throat. Baking soda water kills bacteria and fungus in the throat. Add 1 cup warm water, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1/8 teaspoon salt and gargle with it every three hours.
Fenugreek-

Apple cider vinegar-
Many natural antibacterial properties are found in apple cider vinegar which effectively fights infections. Being acidic, it expels the mucus stuck in the throat and prevents bacteria from spreading. If you are facing problem of sore throat then dissolve 1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and gargle with it. Take small sips of this mixture, and repeat the entire process twice in an hour.
Garlic-
Natural antibacterial properties are also found in garlic. The allicin found in it has the ability to fight infection. According to studies, eating garlic every day helps in preventing cold viruses. Include garlic in your daily diet. Sucking a garlic clove is also an old remedy to relieve sore throat. However, make sure to brush your teeth after eating it, otherwise bad breath may increase.
