3D Ramayana promo will be presented in theaters with ‘Fire and Ash’ – Obnews
In an exciting crossover for cinema lovers, a spectacular 3D promo of Nitish Tiwari’s ambitious *Ramayana* will be shown in theaters alongside James Cameron’s *Avatar: Fire and Ash*, which will hit the screens worldwide from December 19, 2025.
The promo gives the first big screen experience of India’s most awaited epic film, which comes after an online early glimpse released in July 2025 created a huge buzz. Created with cutting-edge visuals by eight-time Oscar-winning studio DNEG (known for *Dune* and *Blade Runner 2049*), the 3D version is receiving rave reviews from early audiences for its immersive experience. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari (*Dangal*) and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios (in co-production with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations), *Ramayan* stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as the mighty Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. This pan-Indian cast brings together top talent to bring this timeless saga of duty, exile and the battle between good and evil to the world.
Adding to the grandeur, the film’s music is composed by Oscar winner A.R. An unprecedented collaboration between Rahman and Grammy winner Hans Zimmer, promising a spectacular audio experience that blends the mastery of Eastern and Western music.
Planned as a larger two-part film, *Ramayana: Part One* is set for a grand release on Diwali 2026, with Part Two arriving on Diwali 2027. With *Avatar: Fire and Ash*—the third installment of Cameron’s blockbuster franchise starring Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana—this strategic pairing will help deliver promos to a larger audience, taking advantage of the Hollywood film’s IMAX and 3D dominance.
Industry insiders are calling it a bold marketing move to quickly showcase the world-class production values of *Ramayana*, raising unprecedented expectations for what is being touted as India’s biggest cinematic event of this decade. Fans won’t want to miss this historic big screen preview.
