Bajaj Auto is once again gearing up to hit the market with a new bike. According to reports, the company may soon launch a new 350cc version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z. Although there is no official announcement from the company yet, the bike is reported to be reaching the showrooms, thus increasing the chances of the bike being launched soon.

Changes in tax rules

This new bike has been specially designed keeping in mind the Indian tax rules. Bikes with engines above 350cc are taxed higher, while those below 350cc are taxed less. Therefore, the company has slightly reduced the engine capacity.

Change in engine

The new Pulsar NS400Z is now powered by a 349.13cc engine, up from 373cc earlier. This change is likely to reduce the price of the bike a bit. However, due to the smaller engine, there is a slight reduction in power.

New model: 40.6 PS of power and 33.2 Nm of torque
Old model: 43 PS of power and 35 Nm of torque

Although there is not a huge difference in performance, a slight change can be felt. Still the bike gets features like 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch and electronic throttle.

Design and Features

The design of the new Pulsar NS400Z has not undergone major changes. The look, color options and styling are almost the same as before. Only the 373cc marking on the engine has been removed.

Features include 43mm USD front forks, dual channel abs, large disc brakes, wide tyres, projector headlights, adjustable levers, full digital instrument cluster, turn-by-turn navigation.

When will it be launched?

The company has not announced the official launch date. But as the bike is reaching the showrooms, it is likely to hit the market soon. This bike can create a good competition in its segment.
