The reality is that men also have breast tissue in which cancer cells can develop. Although, its cases in men are only 1% as compared to women, but due to lack of information and hesitation, men ignore its initial symptoms, due to which treatment gets delayed. According to health experts, this disease in men is often detected in Stage 2 or Stage 3, which is a matter of concern. Do not ignore these symptoms even by forgetting them. The signs of breast cancer in men are quite obvious, you just need to pay attention to them: Lump in the breast: The most prominent symptom is the presence of a hard and painless lump near the nipple or in the chest tissue. Change in the nipple: Sudden turning of the nipple inwards (Inverted Nipple) or a change in its shape. Abnormal discharge: Blood or a clear fluid coming out of the nipple. Skin changes: Dimpling, redness, crusting on the breast skin or feeling like an ulcer (wound) that is not healing. Swelling in the armpit: A lump or swelling in the lymph nodes near the armpit (armpit) or neck, which can be a sign of the spread of cancer. Main signs of breast cancer in men Reason: There can be many physical and genetic reasons behind this disease in men: Increasing age: Men aged between 60 to 70 years are at the highest risk. Hormonal imbalance: Increase in estrogen level in the body and decrease in testosterone are the main reasons for this. Genetic factors: If someone in the family has had breast cancer before or has inherited gene mutations like BRCA1 and BRCA2. Liver and testicular diseases: Hormonal balance can also get disturbed due to serious liver diseases or infection/injury in the testicles. Obesity and lifestyle: Being overweight increases the level of estrogen in the body. Apart from this, excessive consumption of alcohol and exposure to radiation also increases the risk. Investigation and preventive measures: If you feel any unusual change around the chest, immediately contact a doctor. To confirm this, mammography, ultrasound or biopsy is done. If detected in the early stages, its successful treatment is possible through surgery, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. For prevention, do regular exercise, control weight and eat a balanced diet.
