The Sabarmati Report: Vikrant Massey-starrer witnesses a 65 percent rise in net collections

The Sabarmati Report, which was released on November 15, 2024, is causing quite a stir. Based on the Godhra train burning disaster in 2002, the political thriller received positive reviews when it first came out. Vikrant Massey of the 12th Fail fame plays the main character. The Sabarmati Report, which also starred Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal parts, struggled at the box office with Gladiator II and Kal Ho Naa Ho’s rerelease.

On Day 9, the Sabarmati Report’s collection showed strong growth. Early projections indicate that the Vikrant Massey film made Rs 2.30 crore on the second Saturday after its premiere. Day 9’s collection was Rs 1.40 crore, which was 65% more than the eighth day’s. The newly released political thriller’s cume collection in India is currently approximately Rs 15 crore (Rs 14.95 crore) net.

In its first week of release, the Dheeraj Sarna-directed film brought in a net income of Rs 11.25 crore.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Modi stated that the “truth is coming out” The prime minister’s “positive words” were later acknowledged by Vikrant on Instagram, who said that the team is headed in the right direction.

The Sabarmati Report declared Tax-Free

Several Indian states, including Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chattisgarh, have exempted The Sabarmati Report from the amusement tax.
