The second round of voting is late at night, keep these things in mind before going to the polling booth
The second round of voting will be held on April 29. As it is a duty to participate in the festival of democracy, keeping the body healthy in this glorious sun is also a big challenge. It is not uncommon to get sick standing in long polling lines. So it is important to pack some essentials in the bag to ensure your safety before going to the polling station. What to keep?
Small bottle of water: Keep the body hydrated in this intense heat. Maintain the habit of drinking enough water from morning. Carry a small water bottle. Do not drink water directly after standing in the sun for a long time, try to drink water in the shade. It is wise to keep ORS or lemon-sugar water in the bag along with water to keep the body hydrated. Splashing water on the face and eyes from time to time will reduce the fatigue.
Umbrellas, Hats and Sunglasses: Umbrellas are essential to avoid direct sunlight. If you don’t have an umbrella, at least carry a big hat. Not just fashion, sunglasses are useful for eye comfort. These tools can become your main defense to escape from the intense sun rays.
What else to keep?
Apply sunscreen before going out in the sun. If possible, keep a small tube of sunscreen in the bag, so that it can be reused after a long line. Carry a soft handkerchief to wipe sweat. There is no compromise when it comes to clothing. Opt for light colored cotton clothes to stay comfortable in the crowd and heat.
Required Documents
In spite of all the preparations, the real thing should not be forgotten! Fill the voter card and election commission issued documents carefully in the bag. However, the mobile phone cannot be kept with it in any way. This should be kept in mind.
Election is a democratic right, and staying healthy is a personal responsibility. So, if you are a little aware, you can exercise your rights and return home with a healthy body.
