The tank was constructed in the year 2025 under the Jal Jeevan Mission to deliver water to every home in village Nagaradang. After the completion of the construction work, water was filled through the pipeline in the tank for testing on 13th February to supply drinking water to every home. After this, on February 14, around 3 pm, the tank burst and a large amount of water started falling down due to leakage.

Just after a day of testing, the quality of construction work was revealed due to leakage in the tank. Due to this, questions are being raised on the construction of the water tank prepared under Jal Jeevan Mission. The matter of altercation between Charkhari MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput and State Government’s Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh over the problem of not repairing the roads dug under the mission and non-availability of water in many villages is in the headlines. Jal Shakti Minister has given instructions to provide water to every home in all the villages under Namami Gange Scheme within 30 days. Since then, the work of Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme is being done in a hurry. Village head Gayatri has complained about the bursting of the tank to DM Ghazal Bhardwaj and ADM Namami Gange. Alleged that government funds have been misused on a large scale in the construction of the tank. He has demanded an investigation of the water tank and action should be taken against the culprits.

Government sources said that not only written but oral orders have been given to fill only 60 to 70 percent water in the tanks built under Jal Jeevan Mission. This makes it clear that the government is also well aware of the corruption in Jal Jeevan Mission. That is why he has to issue such an order. As soon as there is talk of corruption in Jal Jeevan Mission, the name of Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava starts being discussed. Government sources say that Team Gujarat is of choice in Delhi Darbar. No one will be able to take harsh decisions on them here even if they want to.
