The latest installment, Season 3, is adapted from Victor LaValle’s novel, The Devil in Silver. It follows a man named Pepper, who is wrongly confined to a psychiatric hospital. There, he experiences supernatural occurrences.
The Terror premiered on AMC on March 25, 2018. It was followed by Season 2 in 2019. However, Season 3 was released in 2026 and streamed on AMC+ and Shudder beginning May 7, 2026.
Critically, the show has impressive ratings on review aggregator sites. On Rotten Tomatoesit has a critics’ score of 87% and a user score of 77%. Meanwhile, on IMDbit has an average user rating of 7.8/10.
