The time of total lunar eclipse is near: People will be able to see it first in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

New Delhi: In many countries of the world, a total lunar eclipse will occur on Tuesday evening, which will be visible at almost all places except a few places in the western part of India. Astronomy Center said that the last phase of lunar eclipse will be visible in most parts of the country.

The moon will rise a little earlier in the northeastern region of the country and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, so people there will be able to see the complete lunar eclipse. According to Indian time, the lunar eclipse will start at 3:20 pm and end at 6:48 pm. But the ‘full lunar eclipse’ will start at 4:34 pm and end at 5:35 pm. The lunar eclipse will also be visible in East Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean and North and South America.

It is noteworthy that the next lunar eclipse visible in India will occur on July 6, 2028, which will be a partial lunar eclipse. Apart from this, earlier a lunar eclipse was seen in India on 7-8 September 2025, which was a total lunar eclipse.
