There is a continuous increase in GST collection. The total collection of GST in the month of October this year has been Rs 1.87 lakh crore, which is 8.9 percent more than the month of October last year.

GST collection in the month of October last year was Rs 1.72 lakh crore. There was an increase of 9.4 percent in GST collection in the months of April-October of the current financial year 2024-25 as compared to the same period of the previous financial year 2023-24.

According to government data, in the month of October this year, Rs 33,821 crore was collected from CGST items, Rs 41,864 crore from SGST items and Rs 99,111 crore from IGST items. An amount of Rs 12,550 crore has been collected as cess.

There was no progress in these states

In the month of October, the GST collection rate in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala has been in ten digits, while in states like Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Telangana, the growth rate has been in single digits. Used to be. Although there has been a 2 percent decline in October's GST collection in Himachal Pradesh, there has been no increase in the GST collection of Uttarakhand.

Increase in total sales

In the month of October, the sales of Maruti Suzuki's utility cars like Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga and XL6 were 70,644 units whereas last year their sales were 59,147 units. Due to low sales of hatchbacks, Maruti Suzuki's local sales have declined by 5 percent compared to the month of October last year. However, due to increase in the company's exports, total sales have increased.
