The official trailer of the espionage comedy film *Happy Patel: Dangerous Jasoos* produced by Aamir Khan Productions was released on December 18, 2025, which grabbed a lot of headlines due to its witty humor and star cameos.
This is the directorial debut of comedian-actor Vir Das (who has co-directed it with Kavi Shastri). In the film, Veer plays Happy Patel—a wannabe international spy (having failed MI7 seven times) who is unaware of his Indian roots, and is sent on a strange mission in Goa. The trailer showcases a fun cultural clash, intense action, romance with Mithila Palkar and a confrontation with Mona Singh’s tough character.
Highlights include Aamir Khan’s jaw-dropping cameo (gun chase, bad wig antics) and Imran Khan’s much-awaited return after over a decade (after 2015’s *Katti Batti*), in which he is seen in a unique look in slow-motion fights. The supporting cast includes Sharib Hashmi and Srishti Tawde.
The film was promoted through a humorous pre-release video: one video showed Aamir “arguing” with Veer over trailer cuts—youthful madness versus perfectionist vision—whereas an earlier promo had Aamir humorously praising the script after criticizing it.
This is Veer’s second collaboration with Aamir Khan Productions after *Daily Belly* (2011), which blends satire, bilingual humor and “India for beginners” tropes. Fans welcomed Imran’s return and his *Daily Belly* vibe.
