This subject was very interesting, but it was more important than mathematics. What was most fascinating about this story was the relationship between mother and son. We felt this was a story we needed to tell. I am a single mother with a teenage son. It was easy for me to shape this story. Women are facing such problems in every section of the society. It is not that there are no single mothers in rural areas, or that there are no single mothers in low-income groups. Actor Mihir Ahuja, who plays the young lead, recalled how he got the role at a very personal moment in his life.
