Woman’s friend attacked her husband after reaching her house

New Delhi. Delhi Police has arrested the victim’s wife and her friend for stabbing a man and injuring him. Police said that the woman along with her partner conspired to murder her husband and later misled the police by telling a false story. Police said that the victim, a resident of Baljeet Nagar, was seriously injured in the attack and is undergoing treatment at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Police say that according to doctors he is not in a position to give a statement. Police said that they received information about the incident from RML Hospital on March 24, after which the police reached there. During initial interrogation, the victim’s wife Lakshmi told that her husband had gone out to buy food when two-three unknown people attacked him in a nearby park.

According to the police, based on the woman’s statement, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and investigation was initiated. However, a senior police officer said that during the investigation, the police examined the footage of CCTV cameras of the alleged crime scene and the complainant’s residence, which revealed inconsistencies in the woman’s statement.

Upon interrogation, it was revealed that Lakshmi along with her partner Karan had conspired to carry out the attack inside the house and later fabricated a false story to mislead the police. Based on information, police arrested Karan (22), resident of Baljeet Nagar, near Shadipur flyover on March 25. Later Lakshmi was also arrested in this case.

According to the police, during interrogation, Karan revealed that he knew Lakshmi for the last two-three years. Police said Lakshmi had married the victim, but their relationship later turned sour due to financial and personal disputes. Investigators said Lakshmi had allegedly conspired to kill her husband. On the day of the incident, he called Karan to his house, where an altercation took place between the two and Karan stabbed the victim several times and then fled. Police said that after this both of them fabricated a false story to hide the crime.
