Yogi government will train 40 teachers from eight major sugarcane producing districts of UP
Lucknow. In the Yogi Government, priority attention is being given to employment oriented education and skill development of students. In this sequence, the Sugarcane and Sugar Department of Uttar Pradesh has started an initiative to give a new direction to the quality of education and skill development of students in the schools and colleges run through cooperative sugarcane societies. For this, a three-day high level training program will be organized for the selected teachers of the state in collaboration with Skills Development Network (SDN), an associate organization of Wadhwani Foundation.

This training program will be organized from July 13 to July 15, 2026 at Lal Bahadur Shastri Sugarcane Farmers Institute, Lucknow. In this, 40 teachers selected from 8 major sugarcane producing districts of the state, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Barabanki, Balrampur and Basti will participate. According to this, the objective of the training is to train the teachers as per the requirements of modern skills, employable education and industries, so that they can connect the students with new technologies and employable skills in their respective educational institutions. This will help in preparing the students as per the demands of the national and global job market.

After receiving training, the teachers will work to connect the students of schools and colleges run with the help of cooperative sugarcane societies to self-reliance, skill development and new employment opportunities. The objective of the program is not limited to just academic knowledge, but also to develop practical skills in the students and prepare them for future competitive challenges.
