Theft in two shops in Bari Market of Shahpur intersection
Siddharthnagar l On Tuesday night, unknown thieves targeted two shops and carried out theft in Bari Market of Ward No. 3 Lohia Nagar, Nagar Panchayat Dumariaganj, located at Shahpur intersection of Itwa police station area of the district. The thieves entered the shops by spreading the guides of the shutters and ran away with the cash and goods. The theft incident is said to have taken place around 2 o’clock on Tuesday night.
Rakesh Soni, resident of ward number 9 Subhash Nagar, said that he had closed his jewelers shop on Tuesday night and gone home. On Wednesday morning, Vishal, the owner of the grocery shop located next to the shop, called and informed that the shutter of his shop was uprooted. When we reached the spot, we saw that old anklets and nettles kept for repair and items worth about Rs 10,000 were missing. He immediately informed the police.
Nabi Malik, resident of Ward No. 3 Lohia Nagar, owner of Malik Mobile located in the same market, said that thieves made away with cash worth about twenty thousand rupees kept in a bundle from his shop. The thieves entered inside by spreading the guides of the shutter and ran away with the bundle full of cash. Both the shops are located in ward number three Lohia Nagar. On receiving the information, Etawah police reached the spot, inspected the spot and started investigation. In this regard, Kotwal Etwa Ravindra Singh said that information about theft has been received, the matter is being investigated and necessary action is being taken.
