Sparsh Darshan has been banned in Kashi Vishwanath Temple from Thursday till January 3, 2026. Further decisions will be taken only when the crowd reduces. However, in the meanwhile the protocol and Sugam Darshan will continue. On Wednesday, more than two lakh devotees offered darshan and worship at Baba Vishwanath Dham.
In an information issued by the temple trust on Wednesday night, it has been clarified that there is a huge crowd of devotees in the Dham. This restriction has been imposed to ensure the safety of the devotees. On the other hand, a new permanent checking point is being built near the gate on Nandu Faria Marg of the temple.
Keeping in mind the increasing crowd of devotees and security arrangements, the temple administration has also installed a footfall count at the entrance. This machine will count the devotees coming and going to the temple.

A new permanent checking point is being built near the gate on Nandu Faria Marg of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Keeping in mind the increasing crowd of devotees and security arrangements, the temple administration has also installed a footfall counter at the entrance. This machine will count the devotees coming and going to the temple. A luggage checking machine will also be installed at this gate. Besides, security personnel who perform duty in the open will also get the facility.
