There is a distance of 230 meters between Spadex satellites, know when the docking will happen.

Obnews Desk: There was a technical problem in the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX) of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), due to which the experiment had to be postponed. However, now the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has said on Saturday that the two Space Docking Experiment satellites that it wants to integrate into the orbit are currently 230 meters apart and are in 'normal' condition. The distance between the satellites on Friday evening was 1.5 kilometers.

The space agency said in a post on 'X' – All sensors are being evaluated. The condition of the spacecraft is normal. The space agency has not made any commitment regarding the date for conducting the 'docking' experiments. Which will integrate satellites in space. The Spadex project has already missed two announced deadlines for 'docking' experiments on January 7 and 9. ISRO successfully sent the Space Docking Experiment mission into space on December 30.

Demonstration of docking technology in space

Along with this, Spadex mission is a cost-effective technology mission for docking in space using two small spacecraft which was launched by PSLV. These technologies are essential for India's space ambitions such as an Indian mission to the Moon, bringing back samples from the Moon, building and operating an Indian space station, etc. Through this mission, India is poised to become the fourth country in the world to have space docking technology.

Let us tell you that Spadax is a technology driven mission which has been developed by ISRO to demonstrate docking technology in space. The objective of this mission of ISRO is to demonstrate the ability to bring two small spacecraft or satellites together i.e. to dock and separate i.e. to undock. Spadex's primary mission is to develop docking technology for two small spacecraft in low Earth orbit, SDX01 and SDX02. Hi-tech sensing and propulsion system has been used in this technology, which will work for autonomous docking. For your information, let us tell you that this mission of ISRO is going to last for two years.
