‘There is no change in Bengal, there should be talk of change’… PM Modi said after the historic victory in the assembly elections.
Tezzbuzz Desk – There was a celebratory atmosphere at the Bharatiya Janata Party headquarters in New Delhi on Monday evening when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the party office after a stellar performance in the assembly elections in five states. The entire complex echoed with slogans of “Modi-Modi” and “Jai Shri Ram”.
PM Modi was given a warm welcome at the BJP headquarters. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President Nitin Nabin were also present. The workers celebrated the victory with drums, flowers and sweets. The Prime Minister was seen wearing Bengali dhoti-kurta and he started his address by hailing Bharat Mata.
PM Modi said that today is a historic and unprecedented day. He said that this is not just an election victory but also a sign of change in the thinking of the country. He said, “India today wants development, stability and opportunity. The public wants a politics that takes the country forward.”
PM Modi especially expressed happiness over BJP’s big lead in West Bengal and Assam. He said that for the first time peaceful elections were held in Bengal and not a single innocent citizen lost his life. He said, “From today onwards a new chapter has been added to the fate of Bengal. From today onwards Bengal is free from fear and is confident of development.”
He said that now there should be talk of “change, not revenge” in Bengal and all parties should come out of the politics of violence. PM Modi also said that today the people have given BJP the opportunity to fulfill the Bengal that Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee had dreamed of.
The Prime Minister said that about 93 percent voting in West Bengal is historic in itself. He also described record voting and large participation of women in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala as the brightest picture of Indian democracy.
On BJP’s return to Assam for the third consecutive time, he said that “along with Mother Ganga, we have also received the blessings of Brahmaputra.” Expressing gratitude to the public for the support received by NDA in Puducherry, he said that the government will continue to work for the prosperity of every family there.
PM Modi also launched a scathing attack on the opposition. He said that Congress could never understand the culture of the country. He alleged that Congress is now becoming a gang of urban Naxalites and the country has rejected communism. He also targeted the Samajwadi Party and said that “those doing anti-women politics will not be able to wash away their sins.”
He said that Congress, TMC and DMK had to suffer the consequences of opposition to women’s reservation in the elections. “Women power is now leading the way in building a developed India,” PM Modi said.
BJP President Nitin Nabin also described this victory as completing the task of 2024. He said that the public has expressed confidence in the leadership of PM Modi and the Indi alliance will fall apart like a house of cards after the elections.
In the end, PM Modi said that the happiness seen on the faces of BJP workers across the country today is the result of years of hard work. He said, “Lotus is blooming from Gangotri to Gangasagar.”
