A roadside meeting in Kerala created a memorable moment in a cricket fan’s life. Sanju Samson won everyone’s heart by gifting a new smartphone to one of his fans. The incident took place near Panchappadam School on Mundoor-Thootha Road in Palakkad district, where Samson had stayed for some time.

According to the report, Samson was going from Kozhikode to Coimbatore. At around 5:15 pm, he stopped his car to take a phone call. Meanwhile, Shabarish, a cable technician from Katampazhipuram, was going to play cricket in the nearby field with his friend Manikandan. He saw a familiar face in a car parked on the way. Out of curiosity both of them returned and when they went closer they saw that it was Samson.

At that time Samson was on video call, he gestured to both of them to wait. After the call ended, he talked to both of them, inquired about their well being and also offered to get photographed. Shabarish took a selfie with his mobile, but his phone was damaged and the display was broken. Seeing this, Samson took out a new smartphone from his car and gifted it to Shabrish. It is being told that the price of this phone is around 40 thousand rupees.

After a few minutes of conversation, Samson left from there, but this small gesture of his became a lifelong memory for Shabarish and his friends. This news is also going viral on social media and people are praising Samson’s generosity.

Interestingly, this incident has come to light at a time when Samson was struggling on the field. Recently, in the last matches of the T20 World Cup, he played an important role in India saving the title by performing brilliantly. But his performance for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026 has been lackluster so far.

In the yellow jersey, Samson has scored only 6, 7 and 9 runs in the first three matches. His poor form is also visible in the team’s performance, because Chennai Super Kings has not won a single match so far this season and has suffered three consecutive defeats.
