There should be 9 fast bowlers in Team India so that…' Hitman's mega plan for the future

Rohit Sharma: According to Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, the players of the team should avoid injuries. And regarding the same, Rohit has talked about strengthening the bench strength for fast bowling. So that if any fast bowler is ready to join the playing 11 even at the last moment, then eight or nine such players should be ready.

Before the Test match against New Zealand in Bengaluru, Rohit said, 'We want to build a bench strength, so that if something happens to someone tomorrow, we do not have to worry. It is not necessary for the team to depend on a few members. We also want to focus on the future, we want to get the right players.

Rohit said, 'We want to prepare such players who can come forward immediately and fit into other roles even if they get injured. This is not a matter of three-four options. We want to try to do that. There are many options when it comes to batting. We want to do the same with the bowlers also.

India have included Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy as traveling reserves in their 15-man squad for the three-match series against New Zealand. Mayank and Reddy recently debuted in the T20 series against Bangladesh, while Rana did not get a chance.

Regarding the traveling reserve players, Rohit said, 'We wanted to keep them close to us. Because we were planning to take them to Australia. The five-Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy is starting from November 22. And we just want to keep an eye on them and see their workload. We saw potential in him, I understand he hasn't played much red ball cricket, but when you see talent, you want to try to develop it.

Jasprit Bumrah is the most important player in India's bowling line up. Rohit said about Bumrah, 'He has always been a part of the leadership group. And is one of the experienced players. He has played a lot of cricket. He understands the game very well.
