There should be re-polling in Bengal on those seats where the victory margin is less than the number of votes removed: Congress.

Bureau Prayagraj. Congress media department head Pawan Khera on Wednesday said re-polling should be conducted in West Bengal in seats where the victory margin is less than the number of votes removed from the voter list under the SIR. Kheda also expressed hope that the Supreme Court will take cognizance of this matter and do justice. He emphasized that the ‘India’ alliance stands with Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee in this fight.

Pawan Kheda said, “In West Bengal, BJP is accused of stealing the mandate on a large scale, manipulating the results on more than 100 seats. This is institutional electoral plunder. The ‘India’ alliance clearly stands with Mamata Banerjee at this crucial moment of democratic crisis. His resolve to strengthen the ‘India’ alliance reflects the defense of constitutional democracy against systematic manipulation.”

Pawan Kheda said, “…just look at their toolkit: first mud is spread; then the lotus blooms. If you and I don’t wake up at the right time, this is what will happen.” Kheda further said, “…it was the job of the Election Commission to stop this mud from spreading, respond strongly to hate speech, take action, and pay attention to complaints. Instead, by wallowing in the same mud itself, the Election Commission has sabotaged democracy.”

He said that the ‘India’ alliance is unanimous that whatever happened in West Bengal is not an election result, but a fabricated mandate imposed through manipulation. The Congress leader claimed that just as lakhs of votes were added by targeting in Maharashtra, names of lakhs of voters were ‘targeted’ and removed in West Bengal and Assam.

Pawan Kheda said, “The margin of victory in the seats where voters were deprived of the right to vote in West Bengal is less than the number of votes removed under SIR. That means everything is in front, milk of milk and water of water.” Kheda said, ”In such a situation, we feel that re-polling should be held on those seats, because many of these people are still waiting for the right to vote. We have full confidence in the Supreme Court that it will deliver justice keeping the Constitution in mind.
