There was a dispute over eating fish in Mumbai, friends killed a young man by crushing him with a stone.
Maharashtra: A shocking incident has come to light from Mumbai, where a minor misunderstanding took the life of a person. It is being told that the 35 year old youth was brutally beaten by his two friends and later killed by crushing his head with a stone. The accused suspected that he himself ate all the fish food prepared for them. This incident has once again shown how dangerous the consequences of anger and misunderstanding can be.
According to the police, this incident happened on February 24 in Goregaon area of Mumbai. The victim youth lived in a flat with his two friends Suresh and Rajesh Rameshnath alias Nepali. That day all three of them cooked fish together at home. It is said that after the food was prepared, all three drank alcohol and slept after some time. Meanwhile, the rats ate the fish cooked in the pan kept in the kitchen, due to which the pan became almost empty.

After some time, when Suresh and Rajesh got up and reached the kitchen to eat, they saw that there was no fish left in the pan. They thought that the victim youth had eaten all the fish himself. Due to this suspicion, they woke him up and started questioning him. Within no time the debate intensified and the atmosphere became tense.
In anger, both the accused attacked the victim. According to the police, the accused first kicked and punched the young man. After this, they picked up a stone and hit him on the head, due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, both the accused fled from there and fled the city.
Accused fled to Haryana
After the murder, both the accused fled from Mumbai and tried to hide in other states. As soon as the information about this case was received, the police registered a case of murder at Vanrai Police Station and started searching for the accused. Police investigation revealed that the victim and both the accused were involved in scrap business. Suresh is originally from Kaithal, Haryana, while Rajesh is said to be a resident of Nepal.
It was not easy to reach the accused
Investigating officers said that it was quite challenging to reach the accused as they neither had mobile phones nor any identity cards. In such a situation, the police took a lot of time to gather clues. The police team interrogated about 50 rag pickers living in the area and people from nearby areas. During this time, some important information was received, on the basis of which the police was successful in reaching the accused.
Arrests were made from different places
During investigation, Suresh was caught in Haryana, while Rajesh was arrested from a railway station. Later, both were taken into police custody and further interrogation was started. Police investigation also revealed that Rajesh had been involved in many serious cases in the past also. He has already been accused of crimes like murder and extortion.
The police have sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem so that the exact cause of death can be confirmed. The investigation of the case is still going on and the police is also trying to find out who else were present there at the time of the incident.
