There was a stir due to sudden fire in Charminar Express: Coach of moving train became a furnace, there was panic among the passengers.

New Delhi: There was chaos in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana when a coach of Charminar Express suddenly caught fire. The train was near Aler railway station, when smoke was seen rising from a coach and soon the flames engulfed the coach.

A major accident was averted due to the low speed of the train at the time of the incident. As soon as the news of the fire spread, passengers started coming out in panic. It is a matter of relief that no passenger casualties have been reported so far.

Fire broke out in S-5 coach, created panic

According to preliminary information, the fire broke out in the S-5 coach of the train. Suddenly the rising flames surrounded the entire compartment, causing panic among the passengers. People started coming out immediately to save their lives.

In the video viral on social media, it can be seen that first smoke comes out of the coach and then within a few moments flames start coming out from the windows. Within no time the entire box started burning like a furnace.

Train stopped by pulling chain, many passengers jumped

During the incident, some passengers pulled the chain in an emergency, due to which the train stopped. However, many passengers jumped out of the windows before the train stopped. It was fortunate that the speed of the train was slow, due to which no major accident occurred.

Investigation into the cause of the fire continues

The reason for the fire is not yet clear. Railway officials have reached the spot and started investigation. The fire department team brought the fire under control after a lot of effort. Initial suspicion is that this accident may have happened due to short circuit.
