‘There was no intention to insult…’ Priyadarshan gave clarification after Rajpal Yadav’s anger

Tezzbuzz Desk – Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has been in the headlines for some time now. In the beginning of February, he had to go to Tihar Jail and surrender in the check bounce case. However, he later got interim bail till March 18. After coming out of jail, Rajpal Yadav attended a family wedding, from where many of his videos went viral on social media. After this, he also held a press conference in Mumbai, in which he spoke openly on the matter related to fraud and thanked the people of the film industry for supporting him in difficult times.

Expressed displeasure on Priyadarshan’s statement

During the press conference, Rajpal Yadav also expressed his displeasure over a statement by film director Priyadarshan. In fact, when Rajpal was in jail, Priyadarshan, while talking about him in an interview, had said that he had known him for about 20 years and had seen him for the first time in the film Jungle. He told that his first film Malamaal Weekly was with Rajpal Yadav and since then he has been casting him in his films.

Priyadarshan had also said that he has asked the producers of his next film to pay more money than the fixed fee to Rajpal in view of his current condition. However, during the same conversation, he also said that Rajpal is “less educated” and perhaps that is why he made such a mistake. This thing displeased Rajpal Yadav and he gave a sharp reply saying that Priyadarshan does not know him well and he is an educated person.

Priyadarshan gave clarification

Now Priyadarshan has given his clarification on this controversy. Talking to a news website, he said that his statement was misinterpreted. According to him, he was talking about the innocence of Rajpal Yadav and the challenges he faced while working in the industry.

Priyadarshan said that his intention was not to humiliate Rajpal Yadav. He said that education is not only obtained from books, but a lot can be learned from life’s experiences and also from the road. He said that he just wanted to show that Rajpal’s simplicity and trusting nature sometimes puts him in difficult situations.

‘I have never seen an innocent person like Rajpal’

Priyadarshan further said that he has rarely seen an innocent person like Rajpal Yadav in his life. According to him, many people coming from the village are very straightforward and trustworthy, so sometimes it becomes difficult to differentiate between right and wrong people.
