Ranchi: Late Friday night, criminals spread terror by firing six-seven rounds at the house of land businessman Bablu Prasad alias Bablu Soni in Balalong of Nagdi police station area. The incident took place between 12:30 and 1:00 in the night. It is being told that Rahul Singh gang has carried out this incident due to non-payment of extortion money of Rs 5 crore.
Victim Bablu Prasad told that for the last ten days, he was being called in the name of Rahul Singh gang and demanding Rs 5 crore. By now, threatening calls for money had been received three-four times. The criminals had threatened to kill him if he did not pay the money.

It is suspected that criminals targeted his house on Friday night to create fear and pressure. According to local villagers, two criminals came riding on a bike and fired indiscriminately outside the house.
]Due to dense fog and darkness at night, the pictures of the criminals could not be captured clearly in the CCTV cameras, due to which the police is finding it difficult to identify them. As soon as the information was received on Saturday morning, Nagdi police station in-charge Praveen Kumar reached the spot with the police force.

During investigation, police recovered six pistol bullet casings from near the house. At the same time, the police have also recovered a red colored bike from a field near Fateya Road, a short distance from the incident site. The villagers had informed the police after seeing an abandoned bike in the field in the morning.
Nagdi police station in-charge Praveen Kumar said that it is suspected that the criminals had come using this bike to commit the crime. The police are investigating the matter thoroughly. Kiosks and a suspicious bike have been recovered from the spot. However, till now no written complaint has been lodged by Bablu Prasad. Every aspect of the case is being investigated.
