These 6 schemes of the Central Government, which provide benefits worth lakhs

New Delhi.The Central Government has started many such programs which provide economic and health security to the common people at low cost. There are no complicated procedures required to avail the benefits of these schemes; Application can be made only with general information like Aadhaar and bank account.

1. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY)

This life insurance plan is especially designed for low-income families. In this, Rs 436 have to be paid annually. In case of sudden demise of the insured person, the family gets an amount of Rs 2 lakh. People aged between 18 to 50 years can join this plan and the coverage lasts till 55 years.

2. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY)

This scheme is an important part of Ayushman Bharat. Under this, eligible families get health insurance cover up to Rs 5 lakh annually. This includes hospitalization, operations, medicines, tests and follow-up treatment. No premium has to be paid and the treatment is completely cashless.

3. Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)

This scheme provides accident insurance. In this, the annual premium is only Rs 20. If the person dies or becomes completely disabled in an accident, the family gets a benefit of Rs 2 lakh. A cover of Rs 1 lakh is available for partial disability. People between 18 to 70 years can join this scheme.

4.Aam Aadmi Insurance Scheme (AABY)

This scheme is for workers in rural areas and unorganized sector. In this the premium is very low or zero. The insurance benefit is Rs 30,000 on natural death and Rs 75,000 on accident or total disability. This scheme provides financial support to poor families.

5. Niramaya Health Insurance Scheme

This scheme focuses on the health needs of persons with disabilities. Coverage of treatments, medicines, therapies and other services is available at the lowest premium. Provides relief from expenses related to mental, physical and intellectual disabilities and serves as a means of security for low-income families.

6.Ayushman Bharat Scheme

This scheme provides health protection to the poor and economically weaker section. Eligible families can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in government and listed private hospitals. This scheme reduces the cost of serious diseases, long-term treatment and surgery to a great extent.
