‘These’ schools in Maharashtra will be closed; Historic decision of Education Minister
Maharashtra Schools : The issue of Marathi language has been hot in Maharashtra for the past few days. Marathi language is not taught in many schools even today. Actually Marathi is the state language of Maharashtra, so Marathi must be spoken and Marathi must be taught in every school. But despite this, it has come to light that Marathi language is not taught in many schools of the state and especially in many international schools in Mumbai. Now Education Minister Dada Bhuse has announced that these schools will be closed by taking direct action against such schools.
Currently, the budget session of the state is going on in Mumbai and at this time Shiv Sena Thackeray MLA Harun Khan alleged that Marathi is not being taught in international schools in Mumbai. Harun Khan said that many international schools give Marathi a secondary position only as a third language. Answering this, Dada Bhuse warned of direct action against such schools.
It is compulsory to teach Marathi language in every school (Maharashtra Schools) in the state. Schools that violate this law will not be sanctioned. Therefore, if there are any complaints that Marathi is not taught in the school, we will investigate it immediately. These schools will be re-inspected in the coming academic year. If it is found true in the inquiry, such schools will be given understanding first. Dada Bhuse said that if any school does not teach Marathi language, does not follow Marathi language, then the recognition of said school and institutions will be revoked.
Meanwhile, registration of all private pre-primary schools (Maharashtra Schools) will now be compulsory. 12,633 schools in the state have already been registered and the remaining schools have been ordered to register soon. Dada Bhuse also said that a new law will be implemented before the coming academic year, which will include regulations on class size, toilets, traffic safety and fees.
