These three powerful SUVs will be launched on the occasion of Diwali! Tata is also in the list!

This year’s Diwali is going to be very special for SUV lovers. Most of the major automakers are going to launch their new SUVs during this year’s Diwali season. It also includes two new plug-in hybrids alongside the Tata Sierra EV. Along with great facilities, you will also get powerful road presence from this SUV. Let’s know about this upcoming SUV in detail.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors has officially announced that the Sierra EV will be launched in the second phase of the 2027 financial year. This car was based on the Acti.EV platform. This is the same platform on which the Tata Curve EV is also built. This electric SUV is likely to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki, E Vitara and similar cars in the segment. The Tata Sierra EV comes with two battery options. It has 55KWh and 65 KWh batteries. It is expected to have a rear range of over 500 km on a single charge.

Jetoor T2

JSW Motors will be launching as an autonomous automotive brand in India. For this they are going to launch a plug-in hybrid SUV based on Jetur T2. Its entry can be done in Diwali 2026. This new SUV will have a different name in the Indian market. The plug-in hybrid SUV will be manufactured at the brand’s greenfield manufacturing plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This SUV measures 4785 mm in length, 2006 mm in width and 1875 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2800 mm.

The Jettur T2 is powered by a turbo petrol iDM plug-in hybrid engine, with a 26.7 Kwh battery and a dual motor AWD setup. Its 3 speed DHT engine produces a combined power of 375 BHP and a torque of 610 NM.

MG Starlight 560

MG is all set to launch the Starlight 560 plug-in hybrid vehicle in the Indian market. Based on the Wooling Starlight 560, the PHEV has been spotted testing several times in India. MG is also looking to launch an EV version of the Starlight 560SUV to rival the Mahindra XEV 9S and the upcoming Tata Safari. The Star Light 560 PHEV has a combined range of over 1100 km. It has an electric-only system for city traffic.

It has a 1.5 liter petrol engine with a powerful electric motor. It also has a 20.5 KWh LFP battery pack and is said to offer a full electric range of 125 km.
