New Delhi. The two teams that will reach the finals of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 have been announced. There are no semi-finals or knockout matches in this tournament. On the basis of points table, it is decided which two teams will face in the final. This time the title clash will be between the team of Jharkhand under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan and the team of Haryana under the captaincy of Ankit Kumar. The final of this T20 tournament will be played on Thursday 18 December at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. For the first time these teams have reached the finals of this tournament.

Thanks to the stormy half-centuries of Samant Jakhar and Ankit Kumar, Haryana defeated Hyderabad by 124 runs in Pune on Tuesday and secured a place in the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where it will face Jharkhand. Apart from his innings of 57 runs in 27 balls, opener Ankit gave a great start to Haryana by making a partnership of 81 runs in 7.4 overs with Arsh Ranga (30), batting first. He hit six sixes and one four in his innings.

Hyderabad took some wickets after this, but Jakhar, who came to bat at sixth position, made an important contribution in helping the team reach a big score with an aggressive innings of 60 runs with the help of eight sixes and one four in 22 balls. Parth Vats batted brilliantly in the last overs and scored 45 runs in 19 balls with four fours and three sixes and Haryana scored a big score of 246 runs for seven wickets. While chasing the target, Hyderabad team was all out for 122 runs in 16.1 overs.

Amit Rana performed brilliantly in bowling, taking three wickets for 14 runs, while Jakhar (two wickets for 16 runs), Ishant Bhardwaj (two wickets for 35 runs) and Anshul Kamboj (two wickets for 16 runs) took two wickets each. Rahul Buddhi was the top scorer for Hyderabad with 37 runs in 24 balls. Earlier, in the other match of the group, with the help of Ajinkya Rahane’s unbeaten 72 runs and Sarfaraz Khan’s 73 runs in 22 balls, Mumbai defeated Rajasthan by three wickets.

Rahane scored 72 runs in 41 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes but Sarfaraz hit seven sixes and six fours in his innings of 73 runs in 22 balls. In response to the target of 217 runs to win, Mumbai maintained the run pace despite losing wickets and achieved the target with 11 balls remaining. Rahane and Sarfaraz added 111 runs in 39 balls for the second wicket. Sarfaraz was dismissed by Manav Sutar who took three wickets for 23 runs in four overs.

Rahane got support from Atharva Ankolekar after Angkrish Raghuvanshi (0), Sairaj Patil (4), Suryansh Shedge (10) and captain Shardul Thakur (2) were out cheaply. Ankolekar, who came at number eight, scored 26 runs in nine balls. Earlier, batting first, Rajasthan scored 216 runs for four wickets on the basis of the innings of Deepak Hooda (51 runs in 31 balls) and Mukul Chaudhary (54 not out in 28 balls).
