Moradabad:- Advocates in Moradabad took out a foot march in the city demanding a High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh. Traders of the city also kept the market closed in support of the advocates. This march reached the Collectorate from the Government Inter College of Mughalpura police station area via Mandi Chowk, Kotwali and submitted a memorandum to the government through District Magistrate Anuj Kumar for the establishment of a High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Today, only one slogan was heard resonating at the main intersection of Moradabad that the people of the West should call – High Court Bench should be established at your door. On behalf of Central Sangharsh Committee, Western Uttar Pradesh, a march was carried out with the demand of High Court Bench in Western Uttar Pradesh. In support of the High Court bench, businessmen, social workers and officials and representatives of all political, non-political, social, labor unions/organizations participated in this march with their supporters. Also, the State Employees Joint Council Moradabad demonstrated at the District Hospital regarding the West Uttar Pradesh High Court Bench.
There has been a demand for a High Court bench in Western Uttar Pradesh for the last 50 years, a bandh was called in 22 districts of Western Uttar Pradesh. Bar Association President Anand Mohan Gupta said that they are demanding a High Court bench, they are demanding justice. The government should provide justice, the people of Western Uttar Pradesh are deprived of justice. High Court bench should be given and the people of Western Uttar Pradesh should get justice. If a High Court bench is not found, this movement will continue further. We have to tell the public whether the government wants to provide justice or not.
