After this controversy, Alia Bhatt's fans targeted Bijou with many racist comments. Now Bijou, in an exclusive conversation with News 24, told about the challenges he had to face for speaking against the big production houses. He said, 'If I was afraid of losing my job, I would never have spoken against him. I cannot work at the cost of self-respect.
'Discrimination against North-East actors'
While talking, Bijou said that this problem is not only related to 'Jigra', but it always happens with North-East actors. He said, 'We are always made to feel as if we are being done a favor when it comes to casting.' He told that people from casting agencies often call him 'Chinese looking actor' or 'Nepali looking actor', which is very insulting.

The actor also said that he has to face discrimination on the sets. He said, 'Any normal person is allowed to come to the studio, but we have to prove that we are part of the project. This is insulting.
What did Bijou say on the 'Jigra' controversy?
Regarding the 'Jigra' controversy, the actor made it clear that he had no intention of defaming anyone. He said, 'I did not know that my post would go viral. I was just sharing my experiences. Bijou told that he wanted to work in this film because of Alia Bhatt as he is a fan of the actress. When he was asked why he did not speak on this issue earlier, he said that he did not want to spread negativity towards the film.
