Third-gen Honda Amaze officially teased: What to expect from 2024 Maruti Dzire rival
Third-gen Honda Amaze: What to expect
The teaser reveals part of the Amaze’s front fascia, which boasts sharp styling lines and a hexagonal grille. It is flanked by sleek LED headlights, similar to what we have seen in the Elevateand LED DRLs. While details about the rear and interior remain under wraps, the model is expected to offer a revamped rear design and a tech-rich cabin, aligning with modern market demands.
Under the hood, Honda is likely to retain the reliable 1.2-litre, NA petrol engine. Producing 87.7 hp and 110 Nm of torque, this engine will be available with a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. The Amaze will remain exclusively petrol-powered, as Honda has phased out diesel options in India.
Introduced in 2013, the Amaze quickly became a popular choice in the subcompact sedan segment, helping to sustain Honda’s position in a competitive market. The 2018 second-generation update kept it relevant against strong rivals like the Dzire, and Honda now aims to raise the stakes with a sleek, feature-packed third generation. Interestingly, as it seems, it will debut not long after the launch of the updated Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Once launched, the new Amaze will take on competitors such as Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor besides the Dzire.
