IPL 2025: The Indian Premier League (IPL) was started in India in the year 2008. Within no time, IPL became the most expensive cricket league in the world. So far 16 seasons of this tournament have been played. In which the dominance of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings has been seen. Both of them have won the IPL trophy maximum 5 times each. Many records have been made in the IPL so far, out of which some teams have also made embarrassing records. Which no one would want to have in their name.

These shameful records are registered in the name of champion team

Kolkata Knight Riders team has won the IPL title twice. Earlier, KKR had won the title under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir, after this, Shreyas Iyer won the second title under his captaincy in IPL 2024. At the same time, this team also has a shameful record in its name on its own home ground. This shameful record was recorded in the name of KKR in the first season of IPL in the year 2008.

Actually, this season the match was played between KKR and Deccan Chargers at Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata. In this match, Deccan Chargers were all out for 110 runs after batting first. In this match, it was the KKR bowlers who helped Deccan to cross the score of 100 runs.

In this match against Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Riders bowlers spent a total of 28 runs as extras. Which included 15 wides, 8 leg-byes, 4 byes and one no-ball. Ashok Dinda, Ishant Sharma, Ajit Agarkar, Murali Karthik, Mohammad Hafeez and David Hussey bowled for KKR in that match. Today, except Ishant Sharma, all the other players have retired from cricket. Even though KKR had spent more extra runs while bowling in this match, the team had won the match by 5 wickets.
